Duel With Orchestra
A celebration of the 75th birthday of Latvian composer Georgs Pelēcis took place in Yerevan, featuring duduk player Artak Asatryan.

A celebration of the 75th birthday of Latvian composer Georgs Pelēcis took place in Yerevan on June 16. Presented by the National Centre of Chamber Music, The Armenian State Chamber Orchestra was joined by Karen Shahgaldyan (viola) and Maxim Novikov (alto) for a concert entitled "Duel with orchestra".
During the concert, Georgs Pelēcis' "Ashugh's Story," composed for alto, duduk, and string orchestra, was performed, featuring duduk player Artak Asatryan.
